Demand charges + diesel · stacked

Cut your maximum demand bill 40%. Replace your diesel too.

Your factory pays two bills: the diesel bill (DG set) and the peak-demand bill (DISCOM). Infozeb BESS cuts both at the same time — and pays back in under 4 years on a typical MSME load.

Annual savings

₹28–30L / year

Payback in 3–4 years on IZ-60K-3P + 80 kWp solar. After year 4, the savings are pure margin.

Built for this

Why operators in this segment pick Infozeb.

Demand-charge shaving

EMS automatically discharges the battery during peak-demand windows. Most MSME factories see 30–45% reduction in monthly demand charge alone.

Solar self-consumption

Pair with rooftop solar to charge the battery for free. ₹2–3/unit running cost vs ₹9–10/unit grid + ₹18+/unit diesel.

Sub-20ms transfer

When the grid drops, your machinery doesn't notice. No 5–10 second DG warm-up. No process interruption, no scrap.

CPCB CEMS compliance avoided

DGs above 62.5 kVA need ₹2–4L in monitoring instrumentation plus ongoing audits. Replace the DG and the requirement goes away.

Same warranty as utility-scale

10-year cell warranty, 5-year PCS warranty. Field-replaceable modules. Cloud monitoring on every unit.

MNRE & SIDBI finance

C&I CAPEX subsidies (20–30% in tier-2/3) plus SIDBI/NABARD green loans for the balance. We help structure the project paperwork.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

Can we keep the DG as backup and use the BESS primarily?
Yes — the most common deployment. BESS handles 95% of outages and peak shaving; the existing DG stays in place for multi-hour blackouts. Many factories then shrink the DG to a smaller standby unit, cutting both capital and maintenance cost.
Will the BESS interrupt three-shift production during install?
Installation happens in parallel with normal operations. Cabinet placement and cable pulls take 2–4 days. The cutover itself is a planned 30-minute window — typically scheduled for an off-shift gap, with the DG covering the brief switchover.
What's the payback on demand-charge shaving alone (no DG replacement)?
For factories that only want demand-charge reduction (no DG offset), payback is typically 5–7 years. Adding solar drops payback to 3–4 years. Replacing the DG drops it further.
Can the EMS integrate with our existing SCADA / MES?
Yes. The Infozeb EMS exposes Modbus TCP and an MQTT API for SCADA integration. Most factory dashboards pull live BESS state (SoC, kW flow, alarms) within a week of commissioning.
What's the noise and footprint of a 60 kW cabinet?
Under 50 dB at 1 m — quieter than a household refrigerator. Footprint: 2.4 × 1.0 × 1.8 m for the IZ-60K-3P. Sits indoors in a utility room or outdoors with the IP55 weatherproof variant.
