Technology

A four-layer platform.
Cells. BMS. PCS. EMS.

Built around lithium iron phosphate chemistry and our own monitoring layer — every TOBOR system is the same architecture, scaled — from a 30 kW MTX cabinet to a 10 MW / 20 MWh CTX block on 33 kV.

L1 / CELL
LiFePO4 prismatic
Grade-A 3.2 V LFP — 100 Ah cells for 30–250 kW systems, 314 Ah cells for 250 kW–2 MW PTX and CTX containers. Capacity- and IR-matched per pack.
L2 / BMS
Multi-level battery management
Cell-level balancing, pack-level protections, rack-level master. CAN + RS485 + Ethernet.
L3 / PCS
Bi-directional power conversion
Bidirectional power modules — 30 kW in MTX cabinets (with solar MPPT on MTX Hybrid), 125 kW PMs at 98.5% peak efficiency in PTX and CTX. Grid-tied, off-grid and island modes.
L4 / EMS
TOBOR cloud EMS + PDMS
Real-time telemetry, fleet dispatch and energy economics, with TOBOR PDMS for supervisory power distribution on MW-scale sites.
Layer 1 · Cell

LiFePO4 3.2 V prismatic cells · 100 Ah and 314 Ah.

Lithium iron phosphate is the only chemistry we ship. It runs cooler than NMC, refuses to enter thermal runaway under abuse, and delivers about 6,000 cycles on our 100 Ah cells and about 8,000 cycles on the 314 Ah cells used from 250 kW up through CTX containers.

Layer 2 · BMS

Our own battery-management hardware.

We don't OEM a third-party BMS. The TOBOR BMS PCB — cell-monitoring frontend, balancing FETs, isolated CAN bus and contactor control — is designed, populated and flashed in our Gurugram facility. Every TOBOR pack runs the same firmware we wrote.

Layer 2 · Packs to containers

Cell → pack → rack → container.

In a CTX container, fourteen 314 Ah cells in series make a 44.8 V pack, and 252 cells in series make an 806.4 V, 253.2 kWh rack with a slave BMS per pack reporting to the rack master over CAN. Twenty racks — each with its own 125 kW PCS module — fill a liquid-cooled 20 ft container at 2.5 MW / 5.06 MWh behind a 2.75 MVA 0.4/33 kV unit transformer. Four containers make the 10 MW / 20.26 MWh CTX-B20 block on 33 kV, with TOBOR PDMS supervising power distribution.

Layer 4 · EMS

Every system reports home.
In real time.

TOBOR EMS is the cloud platform behind every system we ship. Stream SOC, power flow, fault alerts and dispatch decisions — for one inverter or a 500-site fleet.

EMS / 01

Fleet-wide telemetry

Every cell, pack, rack and site streams to one dashboard. Drill from a 500-site map to a single cell voltage in two clicks.

EMS / 02

Dispatch & schedules

Tariff-aware charge/discharge windows, demand-response participation, and zero-export modes — configured per site.

EMS / 03

Alerts & maintenance

Fault classification, predictive cell-degradation flags, and SMS/email alerts. OTA firmware for every layer of the stack.

Safety

Six layers of fault protection.

01

Cell-level fusing

Internal fusible link interrupts short-circuit conditions inside the cell.

02

Pack thermal sensors

4× NTC sensors per pack. BMS opens contactor on over-temperature.

03

Rack pyro-fuse

One-shot pyrotechnic fuse on DC bus. Triggers on detected internal arc.

04

Cabinet gas detection

VOC & H₂ sensors at cabinet ceiling. EMS-reported, audible alarm on threshold.

05

Suppression (≥125 kW)

Aerosol-based fire suppression in PTX systems and CTX containers.

06

Remote isolation

EMS can open the AC contactor of any unit on the fleet from the cloud.
