Privacy Policy

01Who we are

Infozeb Energy is a brand of Infozeb Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated in India with its design and manufacturing operations in Gurugram, Haryana. We design, build and service lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery energy storage systems and related EV-charging and energy-management products for homes, factories, housing societies, hotels, hospitals and telecom sites across India.

For the purposes of the DPDP Act, Infozeb Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. is the Data Fiduciary responsible for the personal data described in this Policy. Where this Policy refers to “you” or a “Data Principal”, it means the individual whose personal data we process.

02Scope of this policy

This Policy applies to personal data we process when you:

• browse or interact with our website and landing pages;
• submit an enquiry, request a quote, book a site survey, or use tools such as the savings calculator;
• purchase, lease, finance or take delivery of an Infozeb system;
• use our customer portal or cloud energy-management dashboard;
• apply to become an installer, EPC, distributor or channel partner;
• communicate with us by phone, email, WhatsApp or in person.

It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we link to but do not control (see Section 13).

03Personal data we collect

a. Information you give us

• Identity & contact details — name, company or society name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, and installation or billing address.
• Enquiry & project details — your energy bills, sanctioned load, backup needs, roof or site information, budget, and any details you provide in a form, the savings calculator, or in messages to us.
• Transaction & service data — order, delivery, installation, warranty and after-sales-service records. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store full card or bank-account numbers.
• Partner / KYC data — for installers and partners, business registration, GSTIN, PAN and bank details needed to on-board and pay you.

b. Information we collect automatically

• Device & usage data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits.
• Cookies & similar technologies — see Section 6.
• System telemetry — if you operate an Infozeb system connected to our cloud, we receive operational data such as state of charge, energy throughput, alarms and firmware status, used to monitor, service and improve the product.

05Consent & legal basis

Under the DPDP Act, we process your personal data on the basis of your consent and for certain legitimate uses permitted by law. When we rely on consent — for example, for marketing communications or non-essential cookies — that consent is free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous, and you may withdraw it at any time (see Section 10).

We also process data where it is necessary to perform a contract with you (such as fulfilling an order), to comply with a legal obligation, or for other legitimate uses recognised under the Act. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal, and may limit our ability to provide certain services.

06Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the website work, remember your preferences, measure traffic and improve our marketing. Cookies fall into the following categories:

• Strictly necessary — required for core site functions and security.
• Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on page, source of traffic). This data is aggregated and helps us improve content and performance.
• Advertising — we use Google Ads and similar tools to measure campaign performance and show relevant ads. These may set cookies that track conversions and enable re-marketing.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking some cookies may affect how the website functions. For more on how Google uses data, see Google's Privacy & Terms.

07How we share your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed, with:

• Service providers (Data Processors) — hosting, cloud, analytics, email, CRM, payment, logistics and IT vendors who process data on our behalf under contract.
• Installation & service partners — our authorised installers, EPCs or service engineers, where needed to survey, install or service your system.
• Financing & subsidy partners — only with your consent, where you ask us to help arrange finance, leasing or government subsidies.
• Professional advisers & authorities — auditors, lawyers, insurers, and government or regulatory bodies where required by law.
• Business transfers — to a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation, subject to this Policy.

08Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy, including to meet warranty, service, accounting, tax and other legal obligations. For example, customer and transaction records are typically retained for the duration of the product warranty plus the period required by applicable tax and company law. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.

09Data security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction — including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals as required by the DPDP Act.

10Your rights

Subject to the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• Access — obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed;
• Correction & updating — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected, completed or updated;
• Erasure — request deletion of personal data that is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected;
• Withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time, as easily as it was given;
• Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (below);
• Nominate — nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 15. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

11International transfers

We are based in India and primarily process data here. Some of our service providers (for example, cloud and analytics providers) may process data on servers located outside India. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your data is handled in line with this Policy and applicable law, and we do not transfer data to any territory restricted by the Government of India under the DPDP Act.

12Children's data

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children (individuals under 18 years) without verifiable parental or guardian consent, and we do not undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

13Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party sites and resources (for example, MNRE, IESA, our customer portal, or payment and financing partners). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing any personal data.

14Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or the law. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page or notified to you where appropriate. Your continued use of our website or services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
